Spearmint Resources Inc. has three separate claim blocks in Nevada that are prospective for lithium known as the 880-acre ‘McGee Lithium Clay Project’, the recently acquired 2,004-acre ‘Green Clay Lithium Project’, and the 280-acre ‘Elon Lithium Brine Project’, covering an aggregate area of 3,164 acres.

Spearmint is very pleased to add the ‘Green Clay Lithium Project’ to our growing portfolio of lithium projects in Clayton Valley, Nevada, the most premier address for lithium in North America. Spearmint will begin to formulate work programs shortly for this new lithium clay project and 2023 will be an extremely active period for Spearmint with catalysts coming ahead on multiple projects.

Regarding other lithium clay projects within the Clayton Valley, there has been exciting news recently. On December 7, 2021, Century Lithium Corp. (TSX.v: LCE, USA: CYDVF) announced it completed a successful pilot plant start-up for extraction testing of lithium-bearing claystone from the company’s 100-per-cent-owned Clayton Valley lithium project in Nevada. On September 19, 2022, Century Lithium Corp. (TSX.v: LCE, USA: CYDVF) announced it achieved a significant milestone with the production of 99.94-per-cent lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) made from lithium-bearing claystone from the company’s 100-per-cent-owned Clayton Valley lithium project in Nevada, United States. The Li2CO3 was derived from the intermediate concentrated lithium solution produced at Century’s lithium extraction facility in Amargosa Valley, Nev. Following direct lithium extraction (DLE) at the plant, Saltworks Technologies Inc. completed the processing system design and pilot work to make the Li2CO3.
